Pet & animal portraits · Columbus, Ohio

Pet portraits, with patience first.

Personality-first photographs of pets and companion animals at home or outdoors, with time to notice their habits, expressions, environment, and relationship with their people.

Start a conversation

Observe before asking

Patience first. Personality follows.

Animals do not need to perform on cue to make a good photograph. I begin by noticing how they move through a familiar space, what earns their attention, and when they settle into themselves. Sessions can include the animal alone and the relationship they share with their people.

A note about the portfolio

A few wildlife observations are included to show range and timing. Bookable sessions focus on pets and companion animals at home, outdoors, or with their people.

A pace they can live with

Work with the animal in front of us.

01

Tell me the routine

Share their temperament, favorite places, reliable rewards, and anything that helps them feel secure.

02

Choose familiar ground

Home can reveal daily habits; an outdoor place can give an energetic animal room to move.

03

Let them set the pace

We leave room for sniffing, settling, play, and breaks instead of forcing constant cooperation.

04

Keep the expressions

The final set balances clear portraits with the looks, habits, and interactions that make the animal recognizable.

Sessions built around them

The portrait can be quiet, active, or shared.

At home

A familiar room, favorite chair, window, or backyard where ordinary behavior becomes part of the story.

Outdoors

Room to walk, run, explore, and photograph personality in motion without needing a rigid pose.

Animals and their people

Portraits that include the relationship, routines, and small exchanges you know best.
